It is the year of the woman! I say this as I watch Chrisette Michele‘s big brown eyes flash across my screen in her new video “Charades.”

As the year winds down, more and more artists are releasing new material and getting a head start on the next 365 days (which will be here before you can hang the mistletoe). From veterans like Eve to newcomer Azealia Banks, these ladies are preparing for world domination.

Check out the new music, below:

Chrisette Michele- “Charades”

Chrisette Michele’s bold and fearless persona shines through in her black and white video for “Charades.” The soft ballad is the first music we’ve heard from the “Epiphany” star since her last album in 2012.

Nicki Minaj- “Freedom”

If you think Nicki Minaj hasn’t arrived, please watch the behind the scenes footage from her shoot for “Forever” as she is carried over the grassy London area by two assistants. Not to mention SB who is shielding her with a large umbrella that is losing its fight against the wind.

Eve- “Turn On The Lights (Remix)”

Slowly but surely, Eve is working to reestablish herself as the “pit bull in a skirt.” With a lukewarm verse on Ludacris’ “My Chick Bad” and cold single “She Bad” we are hopeful she can make a successful comeback. Listen to her remix of Future’s song “Turn On The Lights” and tell us what you think…

Azealia Banks- “Atlantis”

I have yet to catch on to the Azealia Banks craze, but I respect her as an artist and my co-workers adoration of the unicorn-haired rapper. Despite my lack of interest, I appreciate her cooky style. I like to think of her music as an acquired taste.
