I’m hoping and praying that every black women knows about Zane and her seductive racy novels, so no introductions are necessary. I haven’t read her books since (oh gosh) college, but I remember breezing through the series of sexually charged fiction novels in a matter of hours.

Well, looks like production for a film adaptation of her novel, “Addicted” is likely to begin in a few months. Billie Woodruff will direct the erotic drama, and it will be produced by Paul Hall and Charisse Nesbit. Casting is complete and we’ve got the details.

The story centers on Zoe, a woman with a successful career, a loving husband, three beautiful children, and the house of her dreams. Despite her picture-perfect life, Zoe has a secret that could destroy everything – she’s a sex addict who is satisfying her fetish by having sex with other men.

“Dreamgirls” star Sharon Leal has been cast as the main character, Zoe. Boris Kodjoe will star as her husband, Jason Reynard. “Why Did I Get Married” actress Tasha Smith and supermodel Tyson Beckford were also added to the cast.

Although this is the Zane’s first feature film adaption, she tried her hand at cable tv previously. Her book “The Sex Chronicles” was a Cinemax series called “Zane’s Sex Chronicles.” That didn’t go so well. I’m hoping that with a better set of actors/actresses this might be worth watching. I’ve sat through all of Tyler Perry’s films, I’m sure I can get through an erotic film starring Boris!

We’ll be keeping our eyes open for more details!
