The 2012 Emmy Awards aired last night and one thing was very clear underneath the flowing gowns and hair-sprayed tresses, black people don’t have a prominent presence at the annual award show. Don Cheadle, Loretta Divine, Maya Rudolph and Idris Elba were the only four African-Americans from television sitcoms to be nominated and none of them won anything!
