Ready or not, “Basketball Wives: LA” is back, this time, with new cast members and even more drama. The season opened with our favorite crazy lady: Jackie Christie and her husband Doug discussing their daughter, Chantal. Chantal is living away from home for the very first time, and Jackie is very sad because she’s worried about her little girl. Doug politely reminded Jackie that Chantal isn’t a “little girl” anymore, and Jackie realized that she can be a little over-protective when it comes to her children. She also told Doug that she missed the “sisterhood” she and the other girls had last season, and although she felt bad about what happened, she wanted the other girls to meet her halfway and stop being so jealous of her. Oh Jackie.

Laura moved back in L.A. after living in Orlando with her financee and children for a while. She and sister Gloria realized they as close as they used to be, and she believed that it was partially her fault. Laura felt things were “tainted” and she didn’t know. But explained that she’s just been so focused on herself which could be the reason why the relationship with her sister has fell apart.

Gloria seemed to be doing great since her split from Matt. They took time apart to do a lot of soul searching and are currently working on rebuilding their relationship. Gloria also revealed that she is working on a cookbook which is right up her alley since she’s half Mexican and Matt is half Italian. She invited all of the ladies over to her house to try some of the recipes from the cook book, which sounded like a recipe for disaster.

Malaysia spent a lot of time in Atlanta with her husband and her children and now has big plans to take her jewelry business to the next level. After coming back to L.A, she met up Draya up for lunch and told her that she doesn’t have a problem with Jackie after last season’s drama, but hasn’t spoken to her either. “I don’t wanna be her friend. I don’t wanna go skipping into the sunset with her, no I don’t,” Malaysia told Draya but according to Malaysia, everybody deserves a second chance, including Jackie.

Draya has been busy working on her swimsuit line, “Mint Swim.” She told Malaysia that she wanted to be rich, and according to Draya, “Rich people don’t rush. They take their time.” Wise words. Draya was little skeptical of Jackie considering everything that went down last season. She admitted that she was very naïve before, but she’s grown up now and has learned her lesson.

It was clear that Jackie wanted to mend things with the other girls, but her approach was all wrong. “They should get on their knees and ask for forgiveness,” she explained and still believed that their anger toward her stemmed from their jealousy.

While the other girls were considering forgiving Jackie, Gloria stood her ground. “Hell to the no!” she told Draya when the two met up for lunch. “Jackie just went way out of her way to destroy friendships, and to me that’s just not cool,” Gloria said.

Before anyone could even consider forgiving Jackie, we were introduced to Brooke Bailey who is a former model and video vixen. Brooke and Draya are good friends, and Brooke is in L.A for a little while and looking to make friends with some of Draya’s friends and by Draya’s “friends” we mean the other “wives”.

Malaysia had her mind set on bringing Jackie back into the group, so she decided to meet with Jackie face to face to talk about some of the issues that arose last season. She told Jackie, “I don’t hate you, I just feel really bad that I let you in my circle to like, kinda manipulate me.” She wanted to give Jackie another chance, so she inviteed her to come to Gloria’s dinner party to see if all of the ladies can mend their friendships.

When the day comes for Gloria’s dinner party, Draya took Brooke with her to meet the rest of the ladies. All of the girls are immediately smitten over Brooke’s curvy body and can’t stop staring at her booty. “She has a huge booty. I’m a little jealous.” Gloria said. Instant best friends!

Brooke was a little skeptical about meeting all of the ladies for the first time, “I’m not nervous to meet them, but my mind is racing because I’m like, okay, have they Googled me? Are they gonna like me? Aren’t they gonna like me? I hope they don’t try to put some poison in my food.” It sounded like Brooke had a lot to hide.. but I guess that will be revealed later.

All of the girls were having a great time catching up, toasting to new business ventures and gossiping when Jackie walked in and crashed the party. Jackie sat down and began to eat with the ladies and failed to explain why she’s there, which made everyone a little uncomfortable and a very confused. Malaysia finally stepped up and explained to the ladies that she invited Jackie to the dinner party, and promised the girls that Jackie would apologize. But now the question is, will Jackie keep her word and apologize?

Guess we’ll have to catch next week’s episode to find out!
