This week on “Braxton Family Values,” the girls experience a lot of changes. First, Trina has finally decided to end her working relationship with her band and officially go solo. Her sisters think this decision is way overdue, but they are happy that she has finally decided to part ways with them.

Tamar and Vince have decided that Towanda probably wouldn’t be the best option for a surrogate simply because they don’t want their child to develop traits like Towanda’s low-down-broke-unemployed-husband, Andre. Tamar and Towanda have lunch where Tamar breaks the news to Towanda. It looks like this decision might be the best idea for both families because Andre wasn’t too thrilled about the idea of Towanda carrying Tamar’s baby either. Still, the best option would be for Tamar to carry her OWN child, but as Tamar puts it, “Why would I want to have a baby inside of me messing up my girly parts and stretching out my tight abdominal region that I work real hard for?” Well when you put it that way, maybe a surrogate is a great idea.

Tamar later meets up with Papa Braxton for lunch to catch up and talk about her pregnancy plans.  Tamar feels like getting pregnant will hinder her career. Papa Braxton keeps trying to persuade her to have her own child, because he wants more grandchildren. Tamar calls him greedy because he already has eleven grandkids and Papa Braxton can only respond with, “Aw Tamar, Tamar, Tamar.  You my baby.”

Over in Atlanta, Gabe goes and visits Trina to discuss their current relationship or lack thereof. Since Gabe was caught cheating, he’s been in therapy for his sex addiction and Trina has filed for divorce. Gabe thinks that it would be a good idea for him to move back in with Trina and her sons but Trina isn’t too happy about the idea of Gabe being back in her house. Gabe thinks that he’s made progress in counseling and he thinks that he can gain Trina’s trust back. Gabe then brings up a valid point: while he’s in therapy for his sex addiction, what is Trina doing about her “oral transaction” situation? Christian is still in the picture since he’s a member of her band and she hasn’t made any moves toward correcting her mistake. Hm.. double standard much?

Tamar and Vince have decided to continue with the surrogate plans and meet with a few potentials to see if they would be a good fit for carrying their baby. Tamar only has one request: the surrogate has to be ugly because as she put it, “I’m the cutest b*tch in my house!” Can’t say that we blame her! The first potential surrogate is way too cute for Tamar’s liking, and when she catches her flirting with Vince a little bit she hits her with the NEXT!

Next up is Sarah who walks in looking very sexy in a revealing top. She pushes Tamar over the edge when she tells Vince that she would love to have a baby with him. “What do you mean WITH HIM?” Tamar asks her. Looks like Sarah isn’t a good choice either. Last but not least is Lilly. Looks wise, Lilly is exactly what Tamar is looking for: unattractive, but when she begins the interview she finds out that Lilly is a little off her rocker. “This aint 1-800-Rent-A-Womb!” Tamar says. After telling Lilly to get her life and then call her, Lilly walks about and Tamar and Vince are back to square one.

Trina finally meets with her band to break the news to them that she is going solo. The hardest part about the news is that she’s taking some of the band members with her, but not all of them. The band supports her decision and everyone seems happy for her new venture, except Christian a.k.a Gabe’s competition a.k.a Mr. Oral Transaction. Christian wants in on Trina’s new project, obviously for more reasons than one, but Trina finally tells him that this little “situation” just can’t happen anymore. “Your account with the First National Bank of Trina is closed!  You need to take your business elsewhere.”

Trina meets up with Gabe again to discuss moving in again. Gabe is concerned about Trina’s son Caleb and it’s clear at this moment that Gabe is a great father to Trina’s two children despite the fact that he’s a horrible husband. Trina thinks that it’s the best thing for the family for Gabe to stay around and help her raise her boys. “Sometimes you have to choose what’s right for your children over what’s right for you.”  Trina says. Hopefully Gabe won’t think this is a free ticket back into Trina’s bed!
