I am an Ivy League college graduate with a managerial top job and I fell in love with a gentleman ML (05/07/79) that I met last summer. The problem is that my family hates him because he never went to college and he has served time in prison. He owns a very successful automotive shop and treats me like I have never been treated before. It is always tough when family acts this way. As you know they in their minds are doing this out of love for you and wanting you to have what they believe to be best. It’s unfortunate that they have treated M like this to his face, how sad. Family and those closes can sometimes be so manipulative and coercive to have things the way they think they should be no matter what anyone else thinks. It is very important for you to know that you do not have to choose. You will have your relationship with your boyfriend (that will go to marriage) and have a relationship with your family. It would be more fitting if they were happy for you, but they are not at this time. Stand your ground and own the right to love who you choose to love and especially when the soul loves you back. Everybody has a past and sometimes it is not a proud past and a bell cannot be unrung. Your family cares a lot for you and in time they come around and give in and accept M. The spirit connection between the two of you is pretty much unbreakable. Many search high low for a love like this and you had better not let it go because somebody else deems it not right.
