So, Ray J is writing a book. yes, you read that right. He’s out to help all the cheating men rid themselves of their straying ways. The book is called Death of the Cheating Man: What Every Woman Must Know About Men Who Stray.
Evidently, Ray J’s a big playboy whose cheated on all his ex-girlfriends has turned over a new leaf and wants to offer advice to cheaters to change their lives a la Steve Harvey. This entire situation gives me the creeps in the same way that Joe Jackson promoted his latest endeavors and Michael wasn’t even in the ground yet.
There’s something about this book that I am admittedly intrigued by, but because of who Ray J is, why he’s writing it and all the promotion surrounding the time of Whitney’s death–I’m not so sure I could support it.
Ray J’s never going to learn that his place is…”Hey wait a minute, ain’t that Brandy’s brother?”
1.Names Changed To Protect The Innocent
So Ray J didn’t want to make this book a tell-all, so he used aliases so that we have no clue who he’s speaking of. It’s a good thing we can’t figure out who his ex, K.K. is. *side eye* Oh and not to mention going into detail about the nature of their relationship–from sex to putting toothpaste on his toothbrush for him. There’s no telling who else Ray J is gushing about in the book.
Whitney Houston has always been a friend of the Norwood family–a mentor to Brandy and a close friend to Ray J. In this interview with The Insider, he never fully admits to the extent of their friendship and he also spent a lot of time with the late singer in her last few days. My concern is–was Ray J using Whitney’s A-list shine to gain him publicity for his book? Ray J seems like he’s always got something to gain–an opportunist. Did he keep her partying so that he could keep her around for his book tour that kicks off on February 14th? If Ray was truly a friend to Whitney, going out and partying would be the last thing on his mind for the troubled star.
3. Pot Giving The Kettle Advice
Ray J claims he is learning through co-author and relationship expert Maxwell Billieon how to use various relationship principles to transform a cheater to an honest man. There is absolutely nothing about this that I believe, especially on his behalf. His advice should pretty much fall on deaf ears, considering, we know the type of man he is.
