It’s been over 15 years since her last role on film but Whitney Houston is set to return to the big screen for the first time since her role in “The Preacher’s Wife” in 1996.  Entertainment Tonight caught up with “the queen of the night” as she gushed about her return to the big screen in the remake of the 1970’s classic “Sparkle” where she will star alongside Jordin Sparks and Tika Sumpter. Whitney Houston is also executive producer on the film which she’s been involved in since co-executive producing “Cinderella” with Brandy in 1997.

The ET interview shows an equally excited Jordin and Whitney sharing their mutual admiration for each other.  Jordin says about Whitney, “I see a lot parallels between me and here, growing up in the church, I was singing in church a lot, I sang in school and then all of sudden this one thing changed my life…and I listened to her and I watched her!”
