T.I. was released from prison just two days ago (August 31), but yesterday, he was put back in a federal penitentiary after “confusion” arose regarding the luxury bus he took to a halfway house after his release.
TMZ reports that the reason T.I. was taken back to prison is because he lied to prison officials, leading them to believe he’d take a low-key mode of transportation to the halfway house (which, of course, a high end tour bus isn’t).
When incarcerated in a low or medium security prison, prisoners are allowed to take a private, unescorted mode of transportation to the halfway house, however, the prisoner must specifically state what that mode will be.
T.I. reportedly said he’d be taking a van, not a shiny motor coach.
