Malik Yoba is returning to the justice scene on season two of TV One’s show “Justice By Any Means.”

“The one-hour re-enactment crime and justice series returns with the untold stories of family members, friends and good Samaritans whose relentless pursuit of justice resulted in retribution for crimes committed on the victims the law forgot,” an official press release reads. “Hosted by actor and community activist Malik Yoba, ‘Justice By Any Means’ guides viewers through these horrific and heroic tales.”

Yoba opened up about his new role in TV One’s ‘Justice By Any Means’ in an EXCLUSIVE interview with #TeamBeautiful.

“I’m a person who is very service-oriented and the service can take many shapes. I think it’s interesting that I am currently playing an FBI Director on a drama and then I am hosting a show like ‘Justice By Any Means,'” he said. I’m working on a docu-series, called “Incarceration Nation,” it’s based on a book on traveling around the world to see how justice is served around the world on a global perspective, prison system perspective and social justice perspective, so it’s all the same kind of stuff. For me, it’s all about how do I use my gifts? One of my favorite scriptures is “your gifts make room for you.” I’m someone who at a very young age chose to be a service and this is just a continuation of that.”

The former “Empire” actor also commented on the recent killing of Black men by police.

“The unrest that has been happening country and in the world and people’s awareness of it, has really unsettled people and folks are feeling like, I’ve got to do something. It’s Kaepernick taking a knee, Lebron and Chris Paul at the ESPY’s read a scripted speech, Snoop and The Game are meeting with LAPD, Beyonce writes a record. Suddenly people are realizing that they need to do something. And I think, that’s the most important part. It’s important to exemplify certain behavior because you never know who you’re going to inspire.”
