White Woman Arrested For Lying About Being Robbed By Black Man

A Missouri Jimmy John’s delivery driver has been fired and arrested for falsely accusing a Black man of robbing her while on the road.

According to ABC 17, Courtney Chancellor, a delivery driver for the sandwich franchise called in a robbery, describing a 6-foot tall Black man in his late 20s with some facial hair. She claimed he had a gun and robbed her at the University of Missouri. But after checking the campus’ surveillance, police realized Chancellor was never robbed and she eventually confessed she was behind it all.

Why she lied is still unknown.

9 Dead, Including 6 Children, After Horrific Memphis House Fire

Three adults and six children died in a Memphis, Tennessee, house fire early Monday morning.

According to the Commercial Appeal, the victims identified were Carol Collier, 56; LaKisha Ward, 27; and Eloise Futrell, 61. They identified the children as Angel Mitchell, 17; Ernest Jett III, 9; Diamond Jett, 8, Alonzo Ward, 7; Kierra Jett, 5; and Precious Rose Jett, 2 or 3.

A seventh child, Cameron Hollingsworth, is clinging to life in a hospital.

“I don’t know what to say. I don’t know what to feel,” said Ernest Jett Jr., the father of all six of the children. “They was the best, man. They was the best. They was drop-dead gorgeous. Smart. I mean, the most lovingest kids.”

Firefighters pulled 10 people from the house, but all three adults and four of the children were pronounced dead at the scene, while three other children were rushed to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, where two died there, the news outlet noted.

“I’ve never seen firemen cry, but they were bawling like babies when they brought the children out,” said Shondra Hampton, whose family lives next door.

“We’ve all lived over there for 40 years and we are just devastated.”

Officials state the fire was a result of a malfunctioning power cord to an air-conditioning unit.

So sad. Praying for this family.

High School Football Player’s Suspension Lifted For Kneeling Like Kaepernick During Anthem

A Massachusetts high school student was suspended for taking a knee like 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

According to Heavy, Mike Oppong, a junior at Doherty Memorial High School, was initially suspended for one game for protesting the nation anthem.

“I’m standing up for the injustice that happens to black people every day, not just cops killing black people. We are disrespected and mistreated everywhere we go on a daily basis because of our skin color and I’m sick of it,” Oppong said.

He added, “My teammates have been supporting me the whole way.”

But shortly after and thanks to the media attention it got lifted. Oppong tweeted the following:

“I just want to thank all of you guys for the support you all gave me throughout this whole situation and by God’s grace Justice was served!”
