This epic selfie is giving diversity a whole new meaning.
On Tuesday night, Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson tweeted this photo of a group of Democratic congressional interns:
Johnson’s tweet, or should we say subtweet, was directed at Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan, who made us all raise our eyebrows when he took to Instagram to pose with Capitol Hill interns:
The striking difference between the interns in their respective offices is alarming, to say the least. And we weren’t the only ones who noticed. Journalist Colleen Mondor tweeted a similar comparison on Sunday, as did Democratic Reps. Xavier Becerra and Barbara Lee.
Clearly, America is one big molting pot of ethnicities and cultures. Perhaps, someone should send Paul Ryan the memo.
