President Obama Stumps Hard For Hillary Clinton In North Carolina

President Obama was beyond “fired up” when he stumped for the presumptive Democratic nominee in North Carolina on Tuesday.

This is the first time the president has spoken alongside Hillary Clinton during her presidential campaign.

Hillary asked the crowd if they were “fired up and ready to go.” When Obama took the stage, he told the audience, “Fired up? I am. I’m fired up. Hillary got me fired up. She got me ready to do some work.”

According to ABC News, the POTUS’ once-rival was sitting back and smiling as the president sang her praises, stressed his trust in her, and expressed his overall happiness to “pass the torch off” to Hillary later this fall.

“There has never been any man or woman more qualified for this office than Hillary Clinton. Ever. And that is the truth. That is the truth,” Obama emphasized. “So the bottom line is, I know Hillary can do the job. And that’s why I am so proud, North Carolina, to endorse Hillary Clinton as the next president of the United States.”

POTUS also made sure to get in his verbal licks against GOP nominee Donald Trump, calling out the reality star’s polarizing propaganda and juvenile antics.

“Everybody can tweet. Nobody actually knows what it takes to do the job until you sit behind the desk. Sasha tweets, but she doesn’t think that she thereby should be sitting behind the desk,” he said.

BLOOP.

In the end, the president reminded folks that Hillary has fought “the good fight” for years and deserves more credit for being “steady” and “true” to improving the lives of all Americans.

#PrayForTheMiddleEast: Saudi Arabia Hit By Three Suicide Bombers In 24 Hours

Saudi Arabia was hit with three suicide bombers in the past 24 hours, NPR reported. Attacks were carried out in the U.S. consulate in Jeddah, Medina (one of the holiest sites in Islam), and a mosque in the city of Qatif.

Details about the attacks are slowly being released, but media reports can say five have died so far in one set of attacks — one of which included the bomber. This violence came as many Saudis prepared to celebrate the end of the holy mont, Ramadan. These attacks come shortly after bombings in Baghdad left 250 dead.

It’s unknown if the Saudi Arabia attack is a result of ISIS, given that no one has taken credit for them, CNN noted.

In the meantime, the government of the United Arab Emirates, a Middle Eastern nation off Saudi Arabia’s eastern border, is advising its citizens to avoid wearing the country’s traditional dress while traveling abroad, NPR recently reported.

This request was  based on an Emirates man who recently flew to Ohio wearing traditional garb and was “mistaken for a member of ISIS” and was “later handcuffed by the police and later hospitalized.”

Sigh. This is what xenophobia and paranoia looks like.

Florida Father Accidentally Shoots And Kills His Son During Target Practice

A 14-year-old boy was accidentally shot and killed by his father during a routine family target practice.

According to CNNStephen Brumby was out with his father, William Clayton Brumby, at a gun range when Clayton Brumby accidentally pulled the trigger while trying to fish a hot shell casing out of the back of his shirt. That bullet struck and killed his son.

“The gun didn’t kill my boy. I did,” the father told CNN. “Every round in the gun is your responsibility. When it fires you need to stand to account for it. That’s what I’ve spent the last two days doing, accounting for my operating error.”

There are currently no charges pending against the father.

“It was a very freak accident. I made a mistake,” Clayton Brumby said. “It doesn’t take but a split second for something to go wrong and that could be (the case) with a gun, it could be with the wrong medicine, it could be with any number of things.”
Clayton Brumby, 64, who was an avid gun user, said he taught all seven of his children to use guns at an early age, in hopes for them to feel comfortable with them. As expected, he is overcome with grief about his young son’s death.
“I can’t fix this. It’s just a great loss, but thankfully we’ll see him someday. I have a feeling he’s on a great lake out there,” he added.

We send our deepest condolences to the Brumby family.
