I don’t know a kid that doesn’t love Doc McStuffins; the compassionate, loving Disney “doctor” who can “fix” toys.
The TV series is the brainchild of Chris Nee and premiered in 2012, and features a Black little girl who’s a doctor. But fast forward four years and now the fate of the show is at stake.
When comedian W. Kamau Bell discovered the show might not be renewed for a fifth season, he made a call to action, encouraging fans to tweet the importance of keeping this show on the air.

Representation does matter. Going beyond race, Doc McStuffins facilitates going to the doctor, injuries, and more, making them less scary for little children. Many kids, regardless of race, identify with and love the show.
Chris was overwhelmed by the love and support shown for Doc McStuffens.
Disney has yet to respond regarding renewing the show. However, with the insane amount of support and #RenewDocMcStuffins becoming a trending hashtag, we are sure they might be thinking twice about canceling it.
