Woman Arrested For Attempting To Smuggle Nearly $3M Worth Of Cocaine

Jet Blue flight attendant, Marsha Gay Reynolds was recently arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Reynolds, 32, is originally from Jamaica where she was a pageant queen.

Reportedly, Reynolds had experience as a drug mule and she was taking advantage of the fact that airline employees typically aren’t subjected to the same TSA search procedures as passengers. On this particular day, Reynolds was selected at random for an extensive search. Frighten by the search, she kicked off her Gucci shoes and ran barefoot out of the Los Angeles airport leaving behind her luggage which included a lot of Magnum condoms and 11 bags of cocaine with a street value of $3 million.

Reynolds, a former track star from New York University, turned herself into federal authorities and is expected to appear in federal court in Brooklyn on Thursday. (Heavy)

Being appointed by Michigan’s Governor Rick Snyder, didn’t stop the Flint Water Advisory Task Force from reading state leaders for filth in a new report released on Wednesday. The Task Force called public officials “ignorant”, “arrogant” and “incompetent” for their decisions that lead to the city’s water crisis, Detroit News reported.

The task force made a point to hone in that the emergency managers that Snyder called in “massively mishandled the crisis.” “Emergency managers made key decisions that contributed to the crisis, from the use of the Flint River to delays in reconnecting to DWSD (Detroit Water and Sewerage Department) once water quality problems were encountered,” the report’s authors wrote.

The panel’s co-chair, Ken Sikkema, emphasized, “It’s our finding that clearly, (emergency managers) are the ones that made the decision to switch to the Flint River and to stick with it …,” he said.

While most of the blame seemed to be placed outside of Snyder’s office, he didn’t walk away exempt from the report though. “Neither the governor nor the governor’s office took steps to reverse poor decisions by MDEQ and state-appointed emergency managers until October 2015, in spite of mounting problems and suggestions to do so by senior staff members in the governor’s office, in part because of continued reassurances from MDEQ that the water was safe,” the report read. (Detroit News)

Second Ex-Student Admits to Vandalizing Ole Miss Civil Rights Statue

A second ex-student of University of Mississippi plead guilty for the 2014 hanging of a rope and a confederate flag around a historic Civl Rights monument on campus, NBC reported. Austin Edenfield accepted a plea deal of one count of aiding and abetting in relation to him vandalizing a statue of James Meredith, the first black student to attend the university in 1962. Edenfield’s co-conspirator and fraternity brother, Graeme Phillip Harris, plead guilty last year and served 6 months in prison.

According to NBC, federal documents said that “Harris objected to living what he called a ‘N-gg-r dorm.” So they teamed ip with a third student to get pay back.  “It’s James Meredith. People will go crazy,” the court papers read. Sigh. (NBC)

Fresh off his epic $140 million lawsuit win against website Gawker, former wrestling icon Hulk Hogan made the media rounds stopping by The View earlier this week. Hogan spent a lot of time trying to humanize him macho persona by talking about him bursting out in tears when the verdict was read, having to explain the tape to his children and his utter fear for Gawker EIC Nick Denton, The Atlantic noted. He also hammered in the notion that a private sex tape should stay just that–private.

And while the ladies seemed somewhat empathetic, Hogan was still pressed on some past questionable racial comments,  specifically last summer when The National Enquirer exposed the WWF former champ tape screaming the N-word on tape. “I said something horrible and I will live with it forever, but that’s not me, that’s not who I am,” he told the women of The View, pointing out that he attends an “Afro-American church.”

Uh huh. Right. (The Atlantic)
