Beyonce is doing her part to support the Flint, Michigan water crisis. The ‘Formation’ performer announced, as part of her #BeyGOOD initiative, a fund to raise money for the Flint Child Health and Development Fund.

In a press release from Live Nation,

“True to her life’s work of always giving back, fans will be given the opportunity to participate in Beyoncé’s #BeyGOOD initiative supporting local United Way programs and the continued work surrounding the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. United Way of Genesee County has been at the forefront of distributing thousands of filtration pitchers, faucet mount filters, replacement cartridges and truckloads of water to underserved populations to address immediate needs in Flint Michigan. They are also partnering with the Community Foundation of Greater Flint to create a fund that will address long-term developmental, education, nutrition and health needs of the children affected by the Flint Water Crisis.”

In other Beyonce news, Big Freedia opened up about working with Bey on ‘Formation.’

“I got a call from Beyoncé’s publicist,” the New Orleans bounce artist told The Fader. “They said that Bey wanted to talk to me, and then she explained exactly what she wanted me to do on the song. She gave me a little history of the song and I just lost it. I dropped dead in my own skin when she called. I was just literally at home losing it, not knowing exactly what I’m going to do when I got to the studio. I was just excited for the call and I was very gracious and appreciative that the queen called the other queen to come do something on her track. It was just a blessing and I was just overwhelmed and still am.”
