80s singer Boy George is the newest judge on the UK version of The Voice. He recently made headlines, not for finding awesome talent but for reveling a huge secret.
Here’s the set up…The other three judges, Will.i.am, Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson and singer Paloma Faith were sharing who’ve they’ve collaborated with.
Boy George said, ‘I have duetted with some of the greatest soul singers in history including Luther Vandross and Smokey Robinson.’
Paloma replied, “Well OK, if we’re throwing big soul names out there I’ve performed with Prince.”
To which George reportedly replied: “Forget that, darling, I’ve slept with Prince.”
According to The Daily Mail, the crowd went wild, so much so that it halted production. The producers ran out and spoke to George who then back pedaled his statements. By “sleeping with Prince” he was referring to having the Purple Rain singer’s posters on his wall.
Well okay then! Do you think it was a joke or do you think he was pressured to retract his statement for fear of losing his job?
