Don’t sleep on Serena Williams. Everything the tennis legend touches turns to gold from her groundbreaking athletic achievements to her successful fashion line for HSN. Harper’s Bazaar applauds her courage to shoot for the stars with a feature in their new “Daring Issue.”

According to Serena, the profile celebrates “women who live by their own rules and who are brave enough to take flight.” It shows her playfully treating her tennis racket like a guitar in rockstar fashion wearing a Ralph Lauren jumpsuit, and striking a fierce pose in a tennis skirt and heels.

She even posted a behind-the-scenes video hamming it up for the camera with The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” blasting in the background. With her gorgeous curls, mile-long legs and voluptuous curves, we’re sure she made someone’s Hotline Bling.

Check out excerpts from her interview:

On red carpet anxiety:

“Every time I go down a red carpet, I get a little nervous. I’ve done it 20,000 times, but you’d be surprised. I always have to take a deep breath before I go out there. Put on a brave, bold pose.”

On remaining calm under pressure:

“I’ve made it a point to be calmer. You know me, I’m really intense and really crazy, but in my career I want to be more calm. When I went through all of that stuff with my lungs [she suffered a life-threatening pulmonary embolism in 2011], that’s when I decided to be more calm on the court.”

On what being daring means to her:

“Daring to me is taking a chance but not doing it blindly. A very calculated chance. Think of amazing women like Sheryl Sandberg and Oprah Winfrey—they’re daring, but they’re not jumping off a building without a parachute, you know?” Again, this perspective comes with growing up. “You have to be smart about it. You can’t be afraid to be a pioneer and take a chance and speak up and just be bold.”
