Kanye West being Kanye West, decided that he will be showing his new collection at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday at noon. However, he didn’t even check the books for schedules or notify the president of CFDA before slotting his event, and now, other designers are readjusting their schedules.

Via Jezebel:

According to WWD, West’s last-minute show kicks off on September 16, at the same time as designer Anne Bowen, who was set to debut Nomad VII by Anne Bowen, and Naeem Khan.

Bowen told WWD that she’d been working on her show for a full year and went through the regular channels to reserve her slot, yet now she’s in an unfair spot.

“Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this. It’s like we are David and he is Goliath. We have put our heart and soul into our show, and should not be stepped on like this,” continued Bowen.

Now she’s moved her show to Thursday, Sept. 17 at 12:30pm, but says it’s a logistical nightmare between cancellation fees and rebooking the models, photographers, makeup artists and alerting all of her guests.

Not even Steven Kolb, Council of Fashion Designers of America president, knew West was presenting at Spring 2016 Fashion Week until he learned about it in the paper.

“The first I heard about the Kanye show was what I read in the Post,” said Kolb, who then reached out to the Adidas public relations people. “There was no listing on the Fashion Calendar, and we didn’t know about it. We can’t avoid conflicts unless we know someone’s doing it.”

West is presenting Yeezy Season 2, another installment of his Adidas Originals Collection. Meanwhile. Khan’s show is continuing on as planned, like eff that!

Bowen kinda let herself get bullied, though.
