Dayton, Ohio. As we all know, Black people are not allowed to do anything. Not allowed to go to church, not allowed to play with toy guns, not allowed to sleep in their beds, etc. And if there is anything that might sure as hell land a Black person in trouble, it’s making eye contact with a police officer.

VICE is reporting that a Black man, John Felton, was driving alongside his brother when the two noticed that a cop was following them. As a precaution, Felton reported that he took out his phone and began recording. Which of course, is now a thing Black people have to consider doing in interactions with authorities.
The cop accused Felton of not flipping on his signal 100 feet before a turn. According t the report, Felton did turn on his signal just not 100 feet before, and certainly not quickly enough for the officer. Continuing to press the officer, the officer admitted, “”You made direct eye contact with me and held onto it when I was passing you.” Yes, you heard that correctly.
Felton said that he didn’t even see the police officer during this so-called passing or make direct eye contact. The police officer gave him a citation during the encounter.
Can someone tell us, is making direct eye contact with police officers now illegal? What is going on? SMDH.
