Devon Still and adorable four-year-old daughter Leah Still just got the best news ever–she’s officially in remission! Devon’s only daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. It was only two short months ago that the former Cincinnati Bengals player shared the terrible news that Leah’s cancer was still infecting her body.

Devon remembers that devastating day, June 2, 2014 as the moment his entire life changed. But March 25, 2015, everything changed. Leah was given a chance at life as her cancer is in full remission. This means that there is a diminution of the seriousness or intensity of the disease and her pain.

Devon took to Instagram to express his happiness, saying, “After 296 days of day dreaming about what it would feel like to hear the doctors say my daughter is in remission, I finally know the feeling. Funny thing is there is really no way of describing it because I never knew this feeling existed. When I look at my daughter all I can do is smile and hug her.”

He goes on to say that Leah fought like hell and he’s so proud to have her as his daughter. This little girl is so special. The survival rate of stage 4 cancer is at 52 percent. Leah hasn’t completed her treatments yet and they still have to make sure the cancer cells don’t return and build back up her immune system, but Leah’s a fighter and will knock that cancer out!

We’re so happy for Devon and Leah Still!
