Queen Latifah Shines As ‘Bessie’ In New Trailer
All Hail the Queen…
The film ‘Bessie’ has been in the works for over 20 years and its finally hitting a TV screen near you next month. Queen Latifah admitted to initially passing on the role when the script first came across her desk in the 90s.
But judging from the trailer, there was no one else who could have portrayed the complicated Blues singer like Queen Latifah. We can’t wait to see Latifah shine in this new role.
‘Bessie’ airs on HBO on May 16th at 8pm.
