Nicki Minaj‘s ex-beau, Safaree Samuels, did what a lot of people couldn’t do when he was confronted by a squad of goons.
Safaree proved that his life was way more important than his ego and big talk this week when he chose to walk away from what could have been a deadly confrontation. NecoleBitchie.com reports that the rapper was in Flatbush, Brooklyn, yesterday trying to shoot the video for his song “Multiply,” when some aggressive locals invaded his space.
Video of the altercation shows how no less than five goons circled up to threaten him before he retreated to his car. The men followed him to his vehicle, where they continued to harass him.
At first it was unclear why they would target Safaree, but another post from kilavuitton187 shows that he’s a fan of Meek Mill. Meek is currently involved Safaree’s high-profile ex, so it’s possible that these guys were trying to insert themselves into some assumed beef between Nicki’s men.
Maybe they’re hoping that showing their allegiance will impress Meek enough to give them some shine, but that probably won’t work. Their entire crew came off looking desperately parched, and it was all for nothing because Safaree returned to the exact same spot the next day (this time with a way bigger crew of his own).
Safaree was clowned for walking away at first, but he actually did the smartest thing he could have done at the time.
