Another week, another disturbing story from the New York Police Department. The NYPD is back in the hot seat after video of several officers dragging a half-naked Brooklyn woman into the hall has emerged.

The New York Daily News reports that nearly a dozen officers hauled a topless woman named Denise Stewart out of her home while responding to complaints of a domestic disturbance last month.

A rep for the NYPD told the Daily News that the incident is currently being investigated by internal affairs. The altercation began around 11:45 p.m. on July 13, when cops knocked on Denise’s door about reports of a fight in her apartment. Officers supposedly heard shouts coming from inside the home when they approached.

Denise, who was only wearing a towel and panties at the time, denied being the source of the disturbance and tried to close the door on authorities. Before it could shut completely, officers busted into her home and snatched her out into the hall as her neighbors caught the incident on tape.

A neighbor of hers demanded to know why Denise was being confronted by an all-male crew of cops, while another could be heard warning that she has asthma. It should be noted that Denise screamed for someone to get her oxygen during her arrest.

No chokeholds were used to restrain her, but she did struggle to break free as cops handcuffed her in the hall. Her towel completely fell off during the scuffle. Once she was subdued, more cops arrived on the scene while she was made to stand in the hall in nothing but her underwear.

Denise said, “I didn’t do nothing wrong,” but her 12-year-old daughter had visible injuries on her face. When asked what happened, the girl told authorities that her mother and older sister, Diamond, had beaten her with a belt.

It wasn’t until cops had pulled Denise’s four kids out in the hall and cuffed them that a female officer covered Denise with a towel. Denise was eventually charged with assaulting an officer, resisting arrest, and criminal possession of a weapon. Diamond–along with Denise’s  oldest son, Kirkland–were also charged with resisting arrest.

Meanwhile, the 12-year-old was charged with assaulting a police officer and criminal mischief. Most shockingly, family members told the “Daily News” that cops pepper-sprayed Denise’s 4-year-old son during the incident.
