There have been a number of stories about children being left in cars this year.

Last month, Justin Harris of Georgia was charged with murder for leaving his 22-month-old son Cooper in a hot SUV. The child died as the result of being left in the sweltering vehicle for seven hours while strapped into his car seat on June 18. Justin’s bond has been denied and he was banned from attending the toddler’s memorial service.

KPHO.com reports that Charges were dropped in the cast of a homeless Arizona mother named Shanesha Taylor, who left her children in a car so that she could go on a job interview.

Most recently, though, another child in Connecticut died on July 17. Police told the Associated Press that the 15-month-old boy had been left unattended in a car for an “extended period of time” on a day when temperatures outside rose to nearly 90 degrees.
