Andrea Kelly and Luke James have absolutely nothing to do with one another, except if you count that they’ve both faced relationship woes recently. Kelly was very transparent about her relationship with her husband, Brian McKee and even married him on “Hollywood Exes,” but it didn’t take her long to opt out of their nuptials after he was caught cheating. “I think because I’ve been through so much with my first husband that I just have no room for BS,” she told VH1. “Some women, it might take you three, four, five times for you to be cheated on for you to get it. When you become 40, there are just certain things you don’t have room for in your life,” she added.

And then there’s Luke James–one of the newest and most talented voices out right now. He’s still making himself into a household name, so his personal business isn’t displayed on reality TV in the same way Kelly’s was. However, he took to his personal Instagram and shared that he’s in love with a White woman. While I am personally affected by interracial relationships, I still believe that you’re allowed to love whoever you want to love. But he received so much backlash, I felt I had to defend him.

Since these two know a few things about love, I asked them about sacrificing in relationships, knowing when you’ve found the one and more. The result is an entertaining chat about the exploration of love. Check it out:

HelloBeautiful: How to know when you’re sacrificing way too much in a relationship?

Andrea Kelly: First of all, you need to know the difference between sacrifice and compromise. In a relationship, we should know about compromise like, “Ok, I may not be able to go out with my girls every time when we’re in a relationship.” A sacrifice in a relationship is “I don’t want you going out with you’re girls period.” When you’ve walked away from your female friends, you have now sacrificed in your relationship.

Luke James: You know when you’re sacrificing! When you’re sacrificing way too much, when you’re compromising who you are. You feel uncomfortable. You shouldn’t have to compromise. They should love you for who you are.

HB: How do you know you found the one and are there signs?

LJ: Yes. There’s nervousness, there’s fear, there is…I can’t stop thinking about her. There’s love. It’s a very intense feeling and nothing else matters. You’re never tired. Great sex. Sex..I’m just joking. That’s how you know too.

HB: Why or why wouldn’t you do a sex tape with you man?

AK: No, honey. No one would want to see it anyway. Nobody’s gonna make money off of me. No, honey. I’m not gonna comment. I don’t know the reasons why they did what they did. I think that everybody when you’re faced with it a situation, you don’t know what you’re gonna do until you’re in it. It’s very easy for us on the outside looking in and say what we won’t do until we’re in it.

HB: When do you think it’s the right time to introduce your loved one to your friends?

LJ: When is it the right time to introduce your loved one to your family and friends? I don’t know. You feel excited. When you feel that comfortable. When you know that person is it. I guess there’s no rules to this. There’s no rules to being loveful.
