Cali Swag District, the rap group best known for dance hit “Teach Me How to Dougie,” lost another member on Friday. According to sources, 25-year-old JayAre lost his battle with sickle cell anemia.
MTV News reports the young rapper, real name Cahron Childs, was admitted to the hospital on Thursday night and the following day he fell into cardiac arrest and died. His death came just three years after CSD’s fourth member M-Bone was murdered in a drive-by shooting.

Fellow member Corey “Smoove Da General” Fowler was the first to speak out on the passing. He tweeted about his his fallen friend and musical collaborator to his 12,000 followers today.
