The 20-year-old is in hot water over a newly-released video, which shows the singer at age 15 making a racist joke and using the N-word repeatedly. “Why are black people afraid of chainsaws?” Bieber says, before delivering the offensive punchline, “Run n—–, n—–, n—–, n—–, n—–.”

The footage was published by The Sun. They report that the “Boyfriend” singer’s team knew about the video and tried to offer big bucks to keep it out of the public’s eye.

According to TMZ, they received this video 4 years ago but decided not to post it. Why? “In large part because he was 15 and immediately told his friends what he did was stupid,” the site writes. “People connected with Bieber say one African American was present at the time he told the joke, although that really doesn’t matter much.”

The worst part about this tasteless moment is the Biebs knew his own photog was in the room and filming! Sources say the young pop star is “frustrated and sad” and wants to publicly address the matter on Monday.
