Is Stacey Dash the new face of Black conservatism? She is on Fox News.

According to reports, the 47-year-old actress and activist officially joined the cable news network as their newest political contributor. The conservative beauty, who is no stranger to politics, inked a deal to offer “cultural analysis and commentary across various daytime and primetime programs.”

Bill Shine, Fox News’ executive vice president, expressed his excitement about adding the Clueless star to the team in a statement on Wednesday. “Stacey is an engaging conversationalist whose distinctive viewpoints amongst her Hollywood peers have spawned national debates,” he said. “We’re pleased to have her join Fox News.”

“There’s just so many opportunities right now,” Stacey told Elle magazine of her new gig. “Twenty years after Clueless I’m starting all over. All because of a tweet! It’s God. I truly believe it’s God.”

The Hollywood starlet is step outside of Fox’s usual crowd, but the move makes sense considering her social media influence and ability to spark debate. For example, she publicly endorsed Mitt Romney over President Obama during the 2012 president election, and let’s just say she received her share of backlash over the decision.

“The main objective of our nation must be repairing the economy,” she shared in an essay, explaining her endorsement. “All our social concerns must come after this. Without a stable economy our great nation fails.”

“Perhaps I publicly endorsed Romney from a slightly naive place, thinking that I could speak my voice without being criticized in such racially charged and hateful tones,” she added.
