HIS SIDE

I was on Black People Meet for about a month and a half before I saw Wincy’s profile. Once I saw her profile, I thought of ways to separate myself from the other guys on BPM. I decided to poke fun at guys that actually use pick up lines in order to get a young lady’s phone number. I wrote to her that I had 12 different pick-up lines, which one did she want to hear first? By to my surprise, she did not respond. LOL! I decided that was her loss and kept dating via BPM.

I had fun dating and meeting new people. After a while, the dating scene became so mundane and I started to look for something with substance. So, I decided to take a break. After a 6-7 month hiatus, I came back to BPM. No longer than a week after I reactivated my profile, Wincy sent me a message with her phone number and said she was closing her account. I waited a few days to make the first call.

HOW HE PULLED OFF THE BIG SURPRISE

It was so easy talking to Wincy. Over a span of 3-4 weeks, we were talking over the phone every day. She is very beautiful physically and mentally. After spending more time with her, I knew she will be the perfect woman for me to build a life with.  Our first date was at a jazz restaurant called JoJo’s. So, I thought it was only right that I propose at the same restaurant where we had our first date on our one-year anniversary. I made arrangements with the owner of the restaurant who then told the lead singer of the jazz band to call us up. Leading up to that moment, I was a bit nervous (but I knew this was who I wanted to spend the rest of my life with). I asked her to be my queen and she said YES! The rest is history.

Wincy and Ray will be having their wedding next year. We wish them nothing but the best on their union!
