Toni Braxton’s Painful Confession
Toni Braxton is opening up about intimate details in her life that she revealed in her autobiography “Unbreak My Heart: A Memoir.” The mother of two revealed that she underwent an abortion because she was taking Accutane prior to marrying her then husband Keri Lewis, in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight.
(Accutane is a form of vitamin A. It reduces the amount of oil released by oil glands in your skin, and helps your skin renew itself more quickly. Accutane can cause severe, life-threatening birth defects. Never use Accutane if you are pregnant.)
“I am more ashamed of myself for doing that,” she revealed. Toni also blames herself for her son’s autism. She believed that it was her punishment for committing the unholy act.
Despite Toni’s guilt, she has kept the procedure a secret until now. As a woman, we understand why Toni would keep her abortion a secret. It is such a taboo topic and very personal experience to go through.
