It all started when NBA player John Wall posted a video on his Instagram page introducing his fans to 5-year-old Miyah, a cancer patient who desperately wanted to meet Nicki Minaj and wear one of her coveted pink wigs. John called on Nicki to make Miyah’s dream come true and launched the Instagram campaign #HelpMiyahMeetNicki and #PinkWig4Miyah with hopes that the head Barb would see it.

“Fans I need your help to get my buddy Miyah’s wish granted. She’s a 5 year old battling cancer and her wish is to meet @NickiMinaj and get one of her pink wigs!,” the Washington Wizards player wrote and his post soon went viral.

After hundreds of fan comments and reposts on the social media site, Nicki responded on Twitter saying, “Hi Miyah!!!! Let’s see what we can come up with for a pretty little princess. ;).”

Miyah finally got to meet Nicki this weekend and donned one of her bright candy-colored wigs in a photo with the Young Money princess on Nicki’s Instagram. Miyah even gifted Nicki with a colorful bracelet that the starlet gushed over. “She gave me the colorful bracelet I’m wearing. I rlly love it,” Nicki wrote.

Nicki posted an Instavideo of their meeting where she can be heard telling the adorable toddler, “I’m so happy that you got your pink wig. I think you’re beautiful without the pink wig but whenever you wanna play dress up and feel like a little Barbie doll that’s fine,” Nicki told her. “But remember, you promised me that you were gonna stay in school.”

Nicki also held a swank party for her little brother Micaiah. Check out pics of Miyah’s dream encounter and Micaiah’s party below:
