Aretha Franklin Performs For The First Family

We were wrong, Aretha Franklin didn’t shade the h*ll out of Patti Labelle (it was actually only a little bit of shade). New camera angles show that Aretha almost brushed past Patti as she was ushered to the stage at the White House’s “Women of Soul” concert with a roaring standing ovation but, did acknowledge Aunt Patti’s hand gesture with a slight gesture of her own.

Once Aretha made it to the stage, she went into a (riveting, of course) performance of “I Never Loved a Man [The Way I Love You].” When she left the stage ackowledged Patti again by giving her a little curtsey.
