Former lovebirds Russell and Kimora Lee Simmons have this co-parenting thing down to a science. Their blended family runs like a well-oiled machine, and honestly, their friendship is so strong sometimes we forget they lived in holy matrimony once upon time.

Russell shared the secret to their success on a recent episode of “Bethenny.” He described Kimora, who is now married to investment banker Tim Leissner, as his best friend.

“We’ve always been [friends],” he said. “I mean even when we were divorcing it was like ‘You want this? I don’t know.’ We were good friends always.”

The 56-year-old yoga guru went on to say that his daughters, 14-year-old Ming Lee and 11-year-old Aoki Lee, have the best mom in the world. “She is a good mother too. It can’t get better,” the entrepreneur gushed. “My kids go to a school for gifted kids and they are well behaved. They are awake and conscious and she’s the reason. She’s an amazing mother and I go and meditate with them every morning and take them to school, they’re just pretty and they’re an inspiration for my life obviously and she’s made them for me.”

It’s been nearly eight years since fashion moguls called it quits, and Russell said he’s looking forward to being a husband again someday. “Yeah absolutely. I’m going to get married again,” he said matter-of-factly. “Yeah, I’m stupid I still think I’m young.”
