Kanye West‘s disc “The College Dropout” disc turned 10 today! Feel old?
“The College Dropout” solidified Kanye’s musical brilliance while establishing his artistry in the same package. The producer who we knew for his behind the scenes work was thrust to the forefront of rap where he still resides as something like a king. The project eventually went on to sell 3.3 million copies to date and garnered the “classic” title. It was nominated for 10 Grammys that year and took home three gramophones for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Song: “Jesus Walks,” and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration: “Slow Jamz.” What a difference a decade makes…
