Maxwell, who recently returned from Dubai, is working on his new album. “‘You just want to be able to feel like you’re progressing in your work, that you’re not just being formulaic and giving people what they expect. You want to give them something that’s going to surprise them, and keep them, hopefully, respecting you,’ he said.
