And this is why she is the Queen!

From crazy outfit changes to NSFW moments, the Grammys entertain viewers every year with a number of surprising moments. But, this year, producers of the show have created a moment they hope will truly leave a mark.

A wedding featuring 33 couples –gay, straight, varying in age and race — will air live during Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ performance of their Grammy-nominated song “Same Love.” Madonna is featured in the performance, and Queen Latifah is set to officiate the ceremony. “We’re serious about this,” Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich said to The New York Times.

It turns out the idea for a wedding came from a brainstorming lunch that Ehrlich had with Lewis. The two discussed traditional Macklemore performances, which usually have an audience proposal segment, and Ehrlich “suggested taking it a step further with a full wedding.” Once the group agreed to the idea, producers found couples who were willing to participate in a televised ceremony — they didn’t know the Grammys were a part of it until a few weeks ago. Those couples were last seen at a wedding rehearsal in The Staples Center on Saturday afternoon, and a few snuck in some pictures for Instagram.

No word yet on how Queen Latifah got involved with the performance, but it should be interesting to see how the performance turns out.

Tune in tonight at 8pm to watch The 2014 Grammys live!
