If you were a fan of Tia and Tamera’s self-titled reality show then you know that older sister Tamera is definitely the more emotional twin. The former “Sister, Sister” stars were featured on OWN’s “Where Are They Now?” series Friday night, and during the candid interview,  Tamera held back tears as she discussed the racist backlash over her interracial marriage.

“It’s hurtful,” the wife of Fox News Channel correspondent Adam Housley said. “People choose to love past love and spread hate. That’s what hurts me because I’ve never experienced so much hate ever in my life.”

She continued, “I get called, ‘White man’s whore,’ the new one, ‘Back in the day, you cost $300 but now you’re giving it to ‘em for free.’ Stuff that, me as a person, could never even fathom. I can’t even think of these words. It’s very hard for me to think of it because I’m a product of it. My mom is a beautiful Black woman and my dad is an amazing White man. I grew up seeing a family. I didn’t grow up seeing, ‘Ooh a ____ with a white person!’ So it’s very shocking to go through this…I’m lesser of a Black person because I married White?”

But Tamera isn’t the only one who’s experienced unbelievably racist comments online. “I’ve had people say that you done it right by marrying a white man,” Tia chimed in.

“I love my husband so much. I love my family. I love our dynamic. I’m proud to be in the relationship I am in because it’s based on love,” Tamera concluded. “Pure love!”
