The show premiered last night and #TeamBeautiful received an invite to watch it with cast member, Geneva and we kindly accepted. Geneva greeted us with a speech on why she decided to be a part of the show, “Bravo is Bravo, hello! It is an amazing platform and my platform is fashion, Black culture, Black women and digital, and I just want to continue to build on that.” It seems like this career and drama-based show is just what Geneva needed to propel her to the next level in her career.

“I’m just happy to be on the show. Honestly, they could’ve picked a lot of women and they picked Geneva. There’s a lot of Black women in New York City who are doing amazing things and for them [Bravo] to believe in me–I’m extremely humbled and graceful to be a part of it,” Geneva gushed as we all toasted in anticipation of watching the first episode of her show.

We’ve already seen some of Geneva’s best moments, from twerking by the crackers to hollering about getting “real penis,” we have completely fallen in love with Geneva–the self-proclaimed shade thrower and after reading the tea she spilled from the inside, you will too.

On Mica, Terry & The 2o-Year “Other Woman:”

“Let me just give a little clarification, so when Mica met Terry, he was in a 20-year relationship already, so unfortunately it wasn’t really that way. He was cheating with her, but he had been with the other chick for 20 years. So, when she met Terry, he had already been in a relationship and she didn’t know anything.”

On Her Relationship With Demetria (After That Blog):

“In the beginning, Demetria and I had challenges and those are worked out. Today, that’s my girl. I love Demetria. When we started the show, we were not friends. When we started filming, we definitely had our differences and we did become friends and to this day, we are friends. You’re not gonna agree with everything your friends do. I have some friends–we have fundamental differences–we may have religious differences, so when it comes to relationships, I do disagree with Demetria on some things because I do think that love is not mechanical. Love is tough, love is nuanced, love is strange and when you love a man it’s not so easy to leave.”
