Drummer Ricky Lawson And Director Jeffrey Pollack Pass Away

Our condolences go out to the families of drummer/musician Ricky Lawson and Booty Call director Jeffrey Pollack, who both passed away this past holiday week.

Lawson, known for his work with Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins and Whitney Houston, died at a Los Angeles hospital following a brain aneurysm on Monday. He was 59.

According to reports, Pollack was found lifeless on the Greenbelt in Hermosa Beach, Calif. by a jogger on the morning of Dec. 23. Police said he was already deceased, dressed in jogging clothes and carrying an iPod. He was 54.

He was best known for his work on Above the Rim, Lost & Found and as a producer on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.”
