George Zimmerman was arrested today and headed for the Seminole County Jail, according to Sheriff Don Eslinger. The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that the man who was responsible for slaying unarmed teen, Trayvon Martin, is also finally being held responsible for domestic violence charges. TMZ is reporting that Zimmerman got physical with his girlfriend earlier today, who claimed she was pregnant. Zimmerman has now been charged with aggravated assault, battery domestic violence and criminal mischief. There’s so much to be said about our justice system and the life of a young Black man being less valuable than a White woman’s, but I’ll digress. At least justice is being served in some way, even if it is laughable. (sidenote: domestic violence is not a laughing matter.)

Zimmerman’s new girlfriend, Samantha Schiebe needs to learn a thing of two from his estranged wife, Shellie Zimmerman. Lesson #1, George Zimmerman is more of a sicko than he is a man. When Zimmerman and Shellie got into an argument earlier this year, George retaliated by nailing a bullet-ridden target to the home they shared as a subliminal message.
In a short news release, the sheriff’s office reported that the agency had arrested Zimmerman after being called to a disturbance on Topfield Court in western Seminole County near Apopka about 1 p.m. Zimmerman’s new blonde girlfriend reportedly lives in the 1300 block of Topfield Court. Schiebe’s neighbors had no clue she was seeing the now-infamous, George Zimmerman. And they told WESH 2 News that they thought Zimmerman was an undercover cop because he walked around like an officer. SMH. You mean to tell me that Zimmerman is still walking around like a glorified neighborhood watchman!?
Since Zimmerman’s original run-in with the law for the death of Trayvon Martin, he’s had a serious string of criminal activity. Could it be his conscious is eating him up inside? cue O.J. Simpson:
In August, Zimmerman was pulled over for speeding, even though he was going “nowhere in particular” with a gun in his glove compartment. And in September, he was handcuffed by Lake Mary police but released after his estranged wife, Shellie, and her father accused him of threatening them with a gun while they were moving out her belongings. Oh and let me not forget about that time he played hero and saved a family from an overturned SUV (who wanted nothing to do with their “savior.” SMH. Can we just throw him in jail already?! Sheesh!
