We can’t get enough of this 5-year-old mini-drum major!

Taranza McKelvin Jr. took center field with the Glades Central High School Marching Band during South Florida’s annual “Muck Bowl,” and let’s just say he’s destined to be the star of a big university band one day.

During an interview with local new station WPTV, the Mckelvin said the performance was a dream come true.

“I watched some of the band videos and it teaches me moves,” said young boy said. “I was nervous when I first got out into the field, but then I just performed.”

“I love performing in front of a lot of people. It’s really exciting,” he added.

Band director Charles Moorer said Mckelvin is “a very unique kid.”

“He did his performance and the crowd just loved it,” he told reporters. “He catches on a lot faster than most of my students, he’s a very unique kid.”

Taranza Mckelvin, Sr. also chimed in on the memorable moment. “At 5-years-old, for him to do what he did on the field, we were all… his mom, me, and brother, we were all proud.”
