It was 20 years ago when the pioneering hip hop group of femcees, also known as Salt-N-Pepa took the first steps towards making music history with the release of their fourth studio album, “Very Necessary.” According to The Urban Daily, the album was carried by three hit singles, “Shoop,” “Whuttaman” and “None Of Your Business,” peaked at #4 on the US Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and has been certified 5 times platinum by the RIAA for sales in excess of five million copies in the US. They also earned a Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group Grammy in 1995 for “None Of Your Business,” the first ever for a female rap act.
