Now that I’ve picked my jaw off of the floor, let’s talk about the latest episode of “Scandal”, “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?” If you remember from last week, Olivia’s father (Joe Morton) was back, but this wasn’t your typical family reunion. Papa Pope was raising hell in her life and in the lives of everyone around her. Not only do we find out he’s the head of the highly classified and dangerous B613 mission but he was also the man behind all of the drama over the past few episodes.

Meanwhile all that Olivia wanted to do was help former White House employee, Jeanie, clear her name after being accused of having “the affair” with the President, but Dad wasn’t having it. He told Olivia that she had two choices: either let Jeanie take the blame for the affair or let Jake Ballard — the man who saved her life last season (and made Fitz jealous after he got with Liv) — get killed. Life and death decisions.. literally! What would you choose?

In case you weren’t taking notes on “Scandal” or following our #ScandalParty on Twitter (@HelloBeautiful), here are a few things to remember for next week’s episode.

1. Olivia Had No Idea What Her Father Actually Did For A Living

This episode was all about the flash backs, five years ago to be exact. We’re shown Liv and Papa Pope attempting to rekindle their father-daughter relationship with weekly Sunday dinners so the two could spend time together, and Papa Pope could pay off Liv’s law school loans. Each Sunday, Olivia took the train to visit her father and ran into Huck who was living in the train station at the time. She would chat with Huck each week and bring him left overs from dinner with her dad. It seemed as if the two developed a rather odd but interesting friendship.

It wasn’t until Olivia was mugged in the train station and Huck was there to save her life that Olivia found out that Huck was more than just a homeless man begging for a sandwich. After a much probing, Huck revealed to Olivia that he was a trained assassin and worked for someone at “Wonderland.” As curious as Olivia was, she asked her father, whom she knew had ties to the U.S. government, to help find out more information about Huck. When Papa Pope refused to give Olivia any further information, she knew he was up to no good. She wasn’t exactly sure what it was yet, but boy was she in for a huge surprise.

After putting all of the clues together in typical Olivia fashion, she figured out that her father was the head of the B613 operation, the operation that Huck was once apart of, the operation that trained people to kill. She was shocked and disgusted by her father’s career but was even more shocked when she found out that her friend (with benefits) Jake was missing and was in her father’s custody.
