Trojan is a trusted brand, well known for their durable condoms. So, when they introduced a new line of products, daring lubricants and personal vibrators (not those disposable ones), I was more than willing to test out the goods. And my vibrator had just conched out on me, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

The personal “Tri-phoria” massager came packaged in a friendly purple box nestled beside firey, tingly and silky lubes. I instantly began to crave some much needed “me time.” Besides, I’ve tried the firey lube before (read that review here) and I wasn’t anxious to jump back on that train.

The Trojan “Tri-phoria” Vibrator boasts eight speeds and three interchangeable tips (hence the name). I preferred the soft silicone domed tip attachment because it centralized the stimulation making the “big o” even bigger. And it can double for a penetrating experience (if you’re into that kind of thing).

It took me a while to find the right speed. Since I’m not the kind of chick who sets the mood to indulge in self-pleasure (I do enjoy some eye candy), reaching my climax isn’t something I’m interested in prolonging. Take me there and get me there fast before my boyfriend gets home (or before your child marches off the school bus and demands a snack).

Editor’s Note: You may be thinking, why use a toy if you have a man at home. Well why not? In fact, try using it together. He may be uncomfortable with a device that does his job “for him,” but explain that it will only enhance the sexual experience, not replace him.

At first, the shape of the massager was puzzling. It’s not modeled like other toys. Then I realized, its cylinder body and wide circular head made it easy to handle and manuever. It takes only one AA battery, so switching out the remote batteries should last longer than before…major plus!

My one gripe with the “Tri-phoria” is that there is no “off” button. To turn it off you much cruse back down the settings until it stops shaking. For instance, I know speed five (the fastest before it hits pulse mode) is what I use, so it takes five clicks to get there and 5 clicks to get back to the off position unlike other vibrators that just shut off.

The “Tri-phoria” packs a lot of punch and doesn’t get louder than a whisper, which is of importance to me. It comes equipped with an elegant satin pouch for discreet storage. And just in case you need a “shower getaway,” the massager is waterproof.

Talking about masturbation is a sensitive subject, luckily I’m not a sensitive girl (in that regard). But, the first step to buying a good vibrator is having a conversation with yourself. What kind of toy do you want? What do you want it to do? Once you’ve decided what makes you climax, then make the big splurge.

If the “Tri-phoria” intrigues you, it retails for $39.99. Order yours, here.
