Shellie Zimmerman, wife of the neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman who killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, plead guilty to a felony misdemeanor perjury charge earlier today. She was sentenced to a year of probation and 100 hours of community service.

Shellie, who was beside her husband for all of his second degree murder trial, faced the judge herself this time around. Shellie had lied about she and her husband’s financial status during a bail hearing in June. She claimed they had “limited funds” for bail. In the days after Zimmerman was released on bail, Shellie had transferred more than $85,500 from her account in to her husband’s account, records show.
