Yes, there is yet another Bey reference on that very same song (which I guess is appropriate).

So this interpretation is totally my opinion, but Jay is talking about Beyonce falling in love with him a.k.a the bad guy and how she saw potential in him early on, even though he’s considered a “rap guy”.
