Chris Brown follows in his “frenemy” Drake’s footsteps and pays tribute to the late Aaliyah on the new track from his sixth studio album, “X,” set to be released July 16th. The first single, “Don’t Think They Know,” features unreleased vocals from the late singer and promotes messages of unity and ending street violence.  While anything featuring Aaliyah is a treat in itself, the music video is the real prize. Set in the rough neighborhood of Compton, Breezy is shown surrounded by a large group of his friends, walking the streets and attempting to make peace between the neighborhood’s gangs. Of course, no CB music video is complete without an intense dance scene and Chris makes sure to break it down in typical Breezy fashion while images of Aaliyah flash in the background.

After the video was released, Chris Brown tweeted, “The new single is apart of my “UNITY CAMPAIGN” which encourages all races, genders, sexes, (everyone) gay or straight to love each other!”

While I’m not the hugest fan of this song, the imagery in the music video is definitely something to talk about and it’s good to see a different side of Chris Brown these days. Because let’s face it, the bad boy image he was trying to portray was getting a little old.

Now that we have two recent singles from Drake and Chris Brown featuring vocals from Aaliyah herself, my question is – who did it better?
