Before Nicki Minaj was banging out with the boys, killing them on their own track with her animated verses, there was E-V-E. The pit bull in a skirt who, on many occasions, beasted out bars the boys wish they had created. Her lyrics were tough, and she had the brash demeanor to go along with it. She came up under one of the original hot cliques–the Ruff Ryders–led by DMX‘s grit and Swizz Beatz’s production. Eve fit right in even though she had platinum blonde hair, boobs and non-male parts. She was a lady but she rapped like a dude!
She took a short hiatus from music, to pursue other business ventures. She even settled down with a man. Eve was successful in all her endeavors, but couldn’t stay away from her passion–music. She’s back now, with a new album and new mentality. But, she’s still a “fly bombshell, caramel!”
Eve visited us during a long promo day for her new album “Lip Lock.” But was more than enthusiastic to talk about now only her new music but her old jams as well! Being such fan, I wanted to know what her favorite verses were. So, we asked her!
Stay tuned for our interview in Part 2!
