An 18-year-old Spelman student told police she was sexually assaulted while under the influence of an unknown substance back in December, before students left for the holidays on Morehouse’s campus. Four Morehouse athletes have been accused and arrested for raping the college student. They have also been charged for an assault, seprate of this case.

It’s being reported that football player, Lucien Kidd and basketball players Malcolm Frank and Chukwudi Ndudikwa are both being charged with rape. Tevin Mgbo, another basketball player, is charged with kidnapping and reckless conduct, according to Fulton County Courthouse records.

The Spelman student claims that she was held inside a dorm room where the athletes live, against her will. According to Morehouse College Police arrest warrants and incident reports, the athletes allegedly had non-consenting sex with the Spelman student while she was unable to defend herself while under the influence of the powerful drug, Molly often rapped about by people like Rick Ross.

Morehouse College Office of Communications released a statement about the incident, claiming:

“While we cannot speak to specifics of these cases, our policies and procedures call for disciplinary actions against students who violate our code of conduct and the law, up to and including dismissal from the college.”

That’s rather interesting because one of the boys involved in the rape, Mgbo, was also arrested on April 11, 2013 for aggravated sodomy, disorderly conduct and kidnapping. No record of his arrest was issued from Morehouse. Jailbase.com is reporting that Mgbo is still in custody, but his bond is listed as $0. Hmm.

It seems like the other cheek is typically turned when athletes and men of stature within their community engage in questionable activities like rape. I wonder what took this case so long to get some attention. Was the victim afraid to come out and state her claim for fear of not being believed because she’s slamming four athletes?
